Ceftazidime 500 Mg Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic designed to combat a wide range of bacterial infections. It is especially effective against gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other multidrug-resistant pathogens. This antibiotic is used in serious infections where other antibiotics fail, making it an essential medication in hospital settings.
Composition & Mechanism of Action🔹 Ceftazidime (500 mg) – A potent beta-lactam cephalosporin that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of harmful bacteria.

Ceftazidime 500 Mg Injection is prescribed for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, including:

✔ Complicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) – Pyelonephritis and kidney infections.
✔ Skin & Soft Tissue Infections – Cellulitis, abscesses, and infected wounds.

✔ Bone & Joint Infections – Osteomyelitis and septic arthritis.

Renal Impairment: Dose adjustment is required for patients with kidney dysfunction
